The Turnbury Teak Bench creates an inviting place to slow down and enjoy the garden, with its gently shaped backrest, classic vertical slats and substantial teak construction giving it a timeless, reassuring presence.

Made from natural Indonesian teak, the Turnbury uses thicker sections of wood to create a solid, beautifully proportioned frame. Its ergonomic design features rounded back slats for added comfort, making it a welcoming place to sit for longer while enjoying the garden. The warm natural colour and individual grain of the teak add character, while precision joinery provides strength and long-term performance.

Naturally rich in oils with a dense, tight grain, teak offers inherent protection and a beautifully smooth finish. The Turnbury teak bench is highly resistant to rain, frost and UV exposure and can remain outdoors throughout the year. Preserve its warm golden tone with occasional teak oil, or allow it to weather naturally into an elegant silver-grey patina over time.

We recommend you clean your Kettler furniture at the beginning and end of the season or more regularly if required. Never use abrasive chemicals or cleaning agents. Tree sap and bird droppings should be cleaned off immediately with warm soapy water.

Wood

Remove dust regularly with a clean soft brush and wipe down with a clean damp cloth. Use pads, mats and coasters under plates, glasses cups etc to protect them from scratches, spills, stains and heat damage. Wipe spills immediately to prevent staining. Wood is a natural material which reacts to weather conditions. Depending on weather type, the wood can swell or dry resulting in small cracks. The risk can be minimised by cleaning and/or treating the furniture at regular intervals and keeping it clean and dry with a soft clean cloth. We would advise applying Kettler hardwood shield (available to buy from our website) 2-3 times per year (table tops) and 1-2 times per year for chairs.

We recommend the following cleaning regime using Kettler wood aftercare treatment to keep the furniture maintained and looking its best:

  • Kettler Hardwood Cleaner – during the Spring (once a year)
  • Kettler Hardwood Colour Protector (Smoke White for Cora, Brown for Hampton, Fiji, Beach, Kubu, Lando & Meadow) – during the Spring (once a year)
  • Kettler Hardwood Shield – Spring and Autumn (2-3 times a year)

Storage: During Winter/wetter months store in a cool, dry and well ventilated location to prevent excessive shrinkage or expansion of the wood.

Moving parts such as locking mechanisms, catches and joints need to be checked/lubricated where necessary.

Failure to comply with the above will void the warranty. This product may only be used for its intended purpose for residential premises.

Kettler wood furniture can be left outdoors all year round to weather naturally. However, if you want to keep your wood furniture in its original condition then we only recommend the use of the tailormade protective covers which are breathable and allow air to circulate around the furniture to prevent the build up of mould.

The storage instructions vary for each product. Please follow the care & maintenance instructions you receive with the product.

This is the natural weathering process for any wood furniture, it does not affect the strength or durability of the product. To prevent this process you can apply the Kettler Hardwood colour protector once a year.
